Danielle Kuntz

Danielle Kuntz is a harpist who helps composers, harpists, and audiences experience new music for the harp. As a harp notation coach, she has mentored dozens of composers through workshops, university residencies, and individual coaching sessions, and has commissioned, co-commissioned, and/or premiered more than 40 new compositions since 2017.

Megunticook Rowing

Megunticook Rowing is a non-profit sports organization serving Midcoast Maine. The group rows in season on Megunticook Lake, in Camden, Maine, and off season at the Pen Bay YMCA. They run year-round youth and adult coached rowing programs, along with an annual regatta and fundraising drives.

Jaymee Haefner

Jaymee Haefner (BM, MM, DM) is Professor of Harp and Director of Graduate Studies at the UNT College of Music. Her star-studded resume includes performing and teaching engagements at elite venues such as Indiana University Jacobs School, Eastman College of Music, Boston Conservatory, and many others. Haefner has worked with renowned conductors including Jaap van Zweden, Roger Nierenberg, David Syrus, and David Stern. Her harp recordings have received critical acclaim, and include features with the Bloomington Pops Orchestra, Daniel Narducci, Alfredo Rolando Ortiz, and James Boldin.

The Young Artist's Harp Seminar summer music camp is a non-profit organization dedicated to "educate, inspire, and grow today’s harpists; to serve as an educational and mentoring resource for students, alumni, and the harp community; and to assume a leadership role in establishing new programs, teaching methods, opportunities, and performances for harpists."
Emily Levin

Dallas Symphony Orchestra principal harpist Emily Levin has been praised for her “communicative, emotionally intense expression” (Jerusalem Post) and “technical wizardry and artistic intuition” (Herald Times), harpist Emily Levin has forged a multifaceted career as a soloist, artistic creator, educator, and advocate for new music. The only American to receive top prizes at two of the most prestigious international harp competitions, Levin won the 2013 Bronze Medal at the 9th USA International Harp Competition, and at just 18 years old, was named a finalist and Renié Prizewinner at the 2009 International Harp Contest in Israel. She is founder of the GroundWork(s) commissioning project.

As a pioneer in the American folk harp movement, she combines an improvisational spirit with a passionate sense of tradition, bringing a contemporary touch to a centuries-old instrument.

Who we are

Alison Reese
Print design specialist
Alison is a professional harpist, editor, and print design specialist. When she’s not on stage playing with the Grand Rapids Symphony or The Who, she’s usually working on a design project for Harp Column or one of our outside clients. In addition to her design skills, Alison curated and edited the video library for Harp Column Academy. She lives in Western Michigan with her husband and three kids, who get outside camping as often as possible. She’s also a hot yoga enthusiast.
